Love Offering
Each year, churches in the Minnesota Annual Conference take a Love Offering for missions. The offering is brought to annual conference session—a gathering of United Methodist clergy and laity from across the state. The theme of the 2025 Annual Conference session —which will take place June 11-13 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud—is “Created for Love.” Our Love Offering this year will help us put love into action for our neighbors around the world. The funds from this year’s offering will go to Africa University, the Immigration Law and Justice Network, OC Ministries, and Midwest Mission. Save the date! 170th Anniversary Celebration, July 20, 2025
In 1855 Northfield was founded by abolitionist and land speculator John W. North. On Sunday, July 24,1855 the first Methodist service was held at a homestead in Northfield which led to the organizing of the parent society of the Northfield Methodist Church.
Join us on Sunday, July 20th as we celebrate the 170th anniversary of Northfield and the Northfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Clay Oglesbee as guest preacher. Sermon: Platted by the Plumbline of Abolition. Including period hymns and camp meeting songs. Watch our weekly email news for more information on the celebration activities, including a special 170th Anniversary fundraising opportunity (give $170, $1700, $17,000, etc.) that will benefit the many ministries of NUMC and the wider community.

- Hold the family of June Lenz in prayer. June passed away on May 5th. You can read June's obituary here. A memorial service to celebrate June and Richard Lenz’s lives will be held at 1 pm, June 11th at the Bierman, Benson and Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield.
- Hold the family of Lou Witman in prayer. Lou passed away on April 18th. A joint memorial service will be held for Hank and Lou Witman on July 26 at 1pm.
