SPECIAL SUNDAYS IN MARCH
Your generous giving is greatly appreciated

United Methodist Committee on Relief
This enables the United Methodist Committee of Relief (UMCOR) to reach out and ease pain and suffering by providing humanitarian aid after disasters. Make checks payable to NUMC and indicate UMCOR in the memo line.

MN Foodshare
The Community Action Center (CAC) in Northfield runs its largest annual food and fund drive during the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign. This drive is critical for stocking the food shelf, with donations of food, funds, or hosting a drive helping to trigger matching grants. The March Campaign is essential for the Northfield community, providing up to half of the annual food budget for the local food shelf. Drop off food donations in the box near the sanctuary, or make checks payable to NUMC and indicate Foodshare in the memo line.

Way of the Cross | The Stations of the Cross

You are invited to view MICAH's "A Palestinian Way of the Cross" exhibit in the Gathering Space at the south entry of Northfield UMC. This will be up until Holy Saturday, April 4th. Many Palestinian Christians refer to their experiences of living under occupation, and the suffering they endure, as "Walking the Via Dolorosa" or the Way of the Cross.

Climate Action This Week
Conserving water can be simple: Take short showers of five minutes or less. Turn the water down in the shower so it’s not full blast. Scrape plates instead of rinsing them before they go in the dishwasher. Don’t leave the water running while washing, shaving, or brushing your teeth. Turn it on and use only as needed.

Northfield UMC Youth Group (current grades 6-12)

Weekly Youth Lenten Reflection:
What's in your Well? (John 4:1-14)
Identify your well
: What are you trying to fill your life with: social media, material things, activities...? Which of these things actually bring you joy or peace, and which ones just leave you drained or empty. Run your hands under a faucet of running water, and as you do ask God to help you focus more on what brings you joy and peace and to start to let go of things that don't.

Youth Scripture Readers
The 2nd Sunday of the Month we ask for a youth to read Scripture during the 9:30am worship service. This is a great opportunity to connect with our church family, practice public speaking, and volunteer for our church. Please email or text Kristen if you would like to sign up for the following Sundays:

  • April 12
  • May 10

NUMC Youth Group is for all youth in 6-12 grades. We meet Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8pm plus special outings and events. New youth are always welcome and encouraged to attend! For more information email youth@northfieldumc.org or text Kristen at 507-676-3600.

Inclement Weather Reminder
NUMC programs follow the Northfield Public Schools School Closure - if school is canceled on a Wednesday, then all afternoon/evening children and youth programs are canceled for that day.
