Climate Action This Week Get in the habit of not throwing things away or replacing them unless necessary, and fix them when broken. Check for leaks in your toilet and repair if necessary. Leaks are usually caused by worn out flapper valves and can be easily and inexpensively replaced. Replace any worn out washers in faucets to stop drips and leaks.
Northfield UMC Youth Group (current grades 6-12) NUMC Youth Group includes time for fun and recreation, community building games and activities, a mini-lesson to help our young people connect to God in everyday moments, and time for supporting and celebrating each other through our highs and lows.
Youth Group is Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm unless otherwise noted.
Weekly Youth Lenten Reflection: Coming Out of the Dark (John 3:1-17) Nicodemus came at night, likely afraid of what other religious leaders would think. Lent is a time for us to reflect on our hidden fears, doubts, and questions. On an index card, in a journal, or in your Bible, read from the story of Nicodemus. And then ask yourself what "thing" you are afraid to bring out of the "dark" and into the light.
Youth Scripture Readers The 2nd Sunday of the Month we ask for a youth to read Scripture during the 9:30am worship service. This is a great opportunity to connect with our church family, practice public speaking, and volunteer for our church. Inclement Weather Reminder NUMC programs follow the Northfield Public Schools School Closure - if school is canceled on a Wednesday, then all afternoon/evening children and youth programs are canceled for that day.
